A three-year journey
What makes a school wonderful?
The visits begin. We are excited to have schools on the calendar and look forward to learning more through this project in the months ahead. This is purely a labor of love: no fees, no rankings, no ratings — just two educators listening closely, learning from school communities, and sharing the optimism we find.

About the Project
A letter of introduction
We are two educators who have spent our careers in and around schools — as teachers, colleagues, Head of School, coaches, and writers. Between us, we've seen what works and what doesn't, what lifts children and what diminishes them.
We have decided to stop theorizing and start looking. We want to visit schools that feel alive — places where children were genuinely happy to be, where adults were still learning, where something wonderful is quietly happening every day.
This is our journal of that journey.

"Not perfect schools. Honest ones."
Are you a school leader?
We'd love to visit.
We're looking for schools where something wonderful is happening — not perfect schools, but honest ones. If you think yours might be one of them, we'd be honored to come and look.
